How to Enrol

When you contact the School, please ask for Oriel Charmley our Office Manager who handles enrolment enquiries, or you are welcome to email us at office@sunnybrae.school.nz.

We are happy to discuss an enrolment with you over the phone and arrange for you to come into school to meet with our Principal, Jennie Stewart. We are currently taking enrolments for 2010 and 2011, including out of zone enrolments. You can download the attached Enrolment form (below) or come in to collect one from the school office. 

We hold prospective parents' meetings regularly through the year where the Principal and Senior Staff provide background information about our school charter, vision and goals and take parents on a tour of the school to see the programme in action. Dates for these meetings can be found on the Events Calendar under What's On on this website. If you are unable to come to these scheduled meetings please contact the office to arrange a separate time. 

The enrolment zone for Sunnybrae Normal School is as follows:

From Akoranga Drive along Northcote Road to Hillcrest Avenue, west on Sylvia Road to Lynden Avenue, along Lynden Avenue to Coronation Road; Coronation Road to Archers Road; from Archers Road to the eastern side of the Northern Motorway. Along the motorway to Akoranga Drive, along Akoranga Drive to Northcote Road.  Both sides of every boundary road are included. 

Students living within the zone have automatic right of entry. We also have places for out of zone enrolments with priority given to: siblings of current students; children of staff members; children of Board members; and children of past students. Application to be considered for an out of zone enrolment is made by completing the school’s enrolment form. Confirmation of a placement will be made in writing as soon as possible after a ballot. If the number of applications does not exceed the number of places available, the application will be accepted.
