Our first newsletter of the year will be sent home today, Tuesday 7 February, along with a Goals sheet for parents to complete and bring along to the Meet the Parents/Teachers meeting on Thursday at 7.00 pm. We have also attached a newsletter about the Cultural and Music groups that we offer and a Parental Assistance sheet for you to indicate how you can be involved this year. These newsletters are also attached to this notice. We have made an excellent start to the year, thank you all for your support in ensuring the children are prepared for the year. 
PTA
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a voluntary group that supports our Board of Trustees. Its role centres on …
- Assisting the Board to attain and maintain a high standard in resourcing and our environment.
- Promoting a closer liaison among parents, teachers and students.
- Undertaking special projects in liaison with the Board of Trustees e.g. fundraising, working bees, social occasions.
Meetings are held regularly (see Events Calendar for meeting dates); everyone is welcome to come along. Parents unable to commit to attending the meetings can become a ‘friend of the PTA’, to be called upon to help with different PTA activities through the year. Garage Sale:
Our annual garage sale is always one of our major fundraising events. This year it is being held on Saturday 12th November from 8am to 12 noon. Donations of goods are currently being received - please leave on the hall stage. If you would like items collected please phone Srecko Urlich on 022 2007 622.

Parent helpers are needed for sorting goods on Thursday evening and all day Friday. If you are able to help, please contact the school office.
Sausage sizzles are an on-going fundraiser. The first one this year was at our school picnic on the back field on 18th February. Thanks to those who cooked and sold sausages, drinks and watermelon.
SHORE TO SHORE FUN RUN: Held on Sunday 27th March this year, the Shore to Shore Fun Run is a 5km walk or run followed by a sausage or noodles at Milford Beach. It is a great family way to help out the school, generating hundreds of dollars for sports equipment. This year we managed to sign up over 100 people due to the willingness of some of our teachers to dress up.
The PTA, once again, were on the job selling sausages, cookies, drinks and pad Thai noodles (thanks to the generous support of one of our parents).
