4. Come and Join Our Wonderful PTA

(Parent-Teacher Association)

Are you new to the school? Do you want to meet a lovely team of school parents? Do you love helping your community?

We’d love you to come and join our group!

We meet on average once a month to discuss upcoming events and put plans in place.

We have a few parents who will be leaving at the end of the year as their children will be finishing at the school so we’d really love to meet some new members to help us make our fundraising successful.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 31 May in the Sunnybrae staffroom at 7:00 pm. Please get in touch if you’d like to know more.

Either call the school office on 09 443 5058 or email one of our members on justmac.nz@gmail.com.

5. PTA Raffle – 29 Days of Prizes

On Monday our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) launched their latest fundraising initiative – The Sunnybrae Normal School PTA Fundraiser 2022 with 29 days of prizes! All money raised will go towards an upgrade to our basketball courts.

Every child in the school has been given two raffle tickets to sell. Please direct your children to return the ticket stubs and any cash in the envelope provided and hand this over to their classroom teacher. If you would like more tickets to sell please indicate the number of tickets you would like on the front of the envelope. Alternatively, you can come into the school office yourself to collect more tickets.

The raffle draw begins at 9:00 am on Tuesday June 7. It would be helpful if all ticket stubs could be returned and payment made by next Thursday June 2 as the school is closed for Teacher Only Day on Friday June 3 and Queens Birthday on Monday June 6.

Thank you for your support.

6. Samoan Language Week 2022

Samoan Language week begins this Sunday 29 May and ends on Saturday 4 June. This year’s theme for Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa – Samoa Language Week is Fa’aāuāu le Folauga i le Va’a o Tautai – Continue the Voyage with Competent Wayfinders of the Ocean.

Tim Bray Theatre Company

Badjelly the Witch

‘ A kiwi favourite, oozing with comedy…..
Kiwi kids have grown up with the story of Tim and Rose’s madcap adventure through the great black forest and into Badjelly’s castle, and this July children of Auckland can experience the electric, cult classic stage show Badjelly The Witch live! From the loony world of Spike Milligan’s original tale, Tim Bray, QSM has created a Monty Pythonesque comedy that sets off in search of a beloved lost cow. A quest full of twists and turns, with memorable characters and sausage turning spells. This bustling stage show will delight children and parents alike in a one-hour stage extravaganza.  ‘

Kind regards
