Dear Parents and Caregivers,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2021 school year at Sunnybrae Normal School. We have been working hard to prepare for a fantastic year full of rich learning activities. We can’t wait to get started.

Curriculum Focus 2021

• Digital Technology

First Day – Thursday 4 February 2021

• Students to arrive between 8:30 – 8:45 am
• Bring stationery (lists available on school website) 
• Parents/caregivers are welcome on school grounds for the first two days of school
• ‘Drop at the Gate’ morning routines begin on Tuesday 9 February (as in 2020) 
• Parents welcome on school grounds for 3:00 pm Pick Up daily

Food and Water

• Brain Break (fruit or vegetable)
• Morning Tea
• Lunch
• Water bottle (only water is allowed at school)
• No milk – Fonterra Milk for Schools programme is no longer offered in N

Uniform

• Full uniform (all pieces named)
• Sunnybrae Hat (Term 1 + 4)

Swimming

Instructional Swimming lessons start on Friday for Rooms 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20. Togs and towels are required. Class teachers will send home a letter in the next few days including swimming and library days / times.

Food Festival

Save the Date: Sunnybrae International Food Festival will be held on Friday 12 March. For those interested in getting involved, more information will be sent out shortly. Everyone is welcome!
