This afternoon the government announced that Auckland will move from Alert Level 3 down to Alert Level 2. Therefore, we welcome students back on site on Thursday 18 February. The following information outlines our Plan for Alert Level 2 at Sunnybrae Normal School.
The success of our plan relies on the support of our parents and caregivers.
Keep children home if they are unwell.
If your child is showing symptoms, they should remain at home and you should seek advice from your GP or Healthline (0800 611 116) about possible testing before returning to school.
If you are informed that your child has become unwell while at school, please pick them up promptly.
The best measures of prevention are hand hygiene, cough etiquette, no touching and keeping out of the ‘moist breath zone’.
Students Returning to School

To reduce contact tracing
1. Plan for Drop Off at Gate 8:30 – 8:45 am All Students

To ease congestion at all entrances to the school, we encourage you to park away from the school grounds and walk your child to the entrance.

2. Plan for Pick Up at Gate 3:00 pm All Students
Year 1 staff will bring the students to the gate on Sunnybrae Rd to meet parents.
