Possible delays on Sunnybrae Road

Next week there will be a road closure in place on Coronation Road. Traffic will be detoured via Tye Road onto Holland Road then back onto Sunnybrae Road. The traffic control set up will see some lane reductions in areas which will slow traffic right down. Fulton Hogan ask all motorists to adhere to the new temporary speed limits in place which will keep not only their staff safe, but other motorists and pedestrians, cyclists etc.

Along the length of the worksite there will be footpath closures. Fulton Hogan will have traffic controllers to assist pedestrians through the site as required and will stop work to allow safe access if required.

From next week we kindly ask the parents and caregivers to allow extra time when dropping off or picking up their tamariki. With the traffic control in place this will cause some delays, we apologise in advance for this.

5. Positive Behaviour for Learning

Next week our PB4L focus will be on showing independence everywhere.

Our lessons will focus on:

  • Being organised and ready to learn

6.  Out of Zone Ballot

7. YMCA After School Care

8. Sushi Friday

Extension to COVID-19 hardship assistance for whānau

The Government has extended the increased income limits for hardship assistance until Thursday 30 June.

This means more casual or part-time workers, or people who aren’t already getting financial support, will continue to be eligible for help with their immediate or emergency costs. This is especially important for those who need direct help as part of the COVID-19 welfare response.

People new to MSD can check these links to see the new income limits:

They’ll be asked some easy questions about their costs, then MSD will let them know about any Work and Income payments they may be able to get.

Alternatively, if they’d like to talk with MSD, they can call:

  • 0800 559 009 for working age
  • 0800 552 002 for over-65s
  • 0800 88 99 00 for students

Interpreters are available.

Please note, income limits for Emergency Housing Special Needs Grants, Transition to Work Grants and the Course Participation Allowance aren’t changing.

Kind regards
